Welcome to Finca Tomillo

The name "Tomillo" means Thyme in Spanish. We chose the name because the grounds are covered in this fragrant herb. Finca means farm house, although this villa is an up-to-date interpretation of a traditional Spanish farm house.
Our modern and well-established luxury villa stands in 5 acres of former vine, almond and olive growing land. The vines have almost all gone now, leaving the olives and just a few almond trees, but we have now planted dozens of fruit trees and eagerly await the first crops.
Situated next to a small pine forest and surrounded by more farm land, the villa sits on the lower slopes of the "Loma Larga" hills (these are the hills behind the villa in the pictures) overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and has wonderful views of the rocky Sierra Bernia, Olta and Ifach hills nearer the coast.
The villa has three double bedrooms, one with en-suite, a large spacious open living area adjoining the dining area. Both the living and dining room areas have large double doors opening onto the terrace and pool area. In addition the master bedroom has the same large double doors opening onto the terrace and pool.
With ample car parking for three cars, this villa is only 2Km from Benissa, a cathedral town, with its essential and varied shops and historic buildings.
There are dozens of restaurants to chose from within a short drive, both up into the hills, towards the inland towns and of course in the coastal towns of Calpe, Moraira and Javea.
The villa has a gas BBQ on the pool terrace and a fully equipped large modern kitchen for when you would prefer to eat at the villa.
For walkers, there are hundreds of short and longer walks just a short drive away. For those who are less adventurous there are even short walks from the villa into the forest and neighbouring areas. Wild flowers and herbs (including of course Thyme) proliferate the countryside. At the end of a walk there are mountain bars and restaurants to stop in and get a cool drink or meal.
No holiday in Spain would be complete without the beaches, of which there are dozens of both large sandy and small coves, all with wonderfully clear Mediterranean sea.
Spain is renowned for its golf courses and this area is no exception, with four excellent very local ones, including the Don Cayo and La Sella courses..
